Murray is an electrical engineer, with a specialization in energy production and use. He has worked for four decades in environmental technology business, international climate change policy, climate change finance, and managing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. He returned to Canada in 2016 after 20 years living and working in other countries. He has led in the development of Greenlight Canada's business model focusing on collaborative community action and a compelling proposition for client buildings to reduce energy consumption, contribute to climate change goals and pay for it all out of the savings achieved. In addition to his ongoing management role to build the team and market reach, he manages relations with Greenlight's LED technology suppliers and its finance partners.
ChAiR, Investor Relations
Robert is a resource management scientist who has specialized in the interface of energy development and environment, principally climate change, for over several decades. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at UBC and recently published “Carbon Play.” Robert was amongst the first to raise the profile of the climate issue in the Canadian energy industry. Robert has supported industrial ecology and climate mitigation projects in China, the U.S., and Africa, working for Shell Canada, Westcoast Energy, Western Wind Energy, and ERA Ecosystems, which he co-founded and for which he acted as Chairman from 2004 to 2012. Robert is an early and significant equity investor in the Company and will act as Chairman of Greenlight Canada’s Board. As well, Robert will support Investor Relations.
Mendel is an industrial designer and project manager. With 5 years of experience in experimental research and development, he has remained committed to ecologically responsible urbanism. Mendel has studied both the physics and perceptual aspects of lighting design at Carleton University. The Greenlight Canada model immediately appealed to Mendel as a practical means to align economics with environmental goals – Greenlight proves that sustainability can be good business. Mendel handles on-site logistics and client relations.
Marketing And Sales Team Leader
Julia was born in Vancouver and has lived here for most of her life. She graduated Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in 2005 with a degree in Development Studies and International Relations. She spent years travelling, and settled back in Vancouver in 2012. She developed a strong interest for marketing while working in the hospitality industry and went on to study in the School of Sales and Marketing at BCIT in Vancouver. As Marketing and Sales Team Leader at Greenlight Canada, Julia manages the Green Eyes Referral Program, which oversees a community based referral program, as well as the company’s online presence through various social media channels.
Guillaume is an entrepreneur, originally from France, who moved to Vancouver in 2010 after spending nine years working in financial departments abroad. He holds a CPA, CMA designation, has worked for wide range of companies from publicly traded to private not-for-profit, and has also created companies including Sweet UP! and Direction(s) Consulting Inc. His intent is to help owners/partners navigate and mitigate the financial risks related to growth by optimizing their resource allocation and to achieve sustainable and organic business development. His interest in Greenlight came from its focus on bettering the environment and its compelling business model. He now helps oversee the structuring, internal control, financial reporting and resource management of the company.
